Summer Camp Swim Program
Our Summer Camp Swim Program is a fun, safe and enjoyable activity specifically designed to meet the needs of the Child's Day summer camp. It incorporates the format of the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program, but is not quite as formal, since some children may not be attending every week of the summer. The children are shown progress on our Summer Camp Progress Reports posted with the child's teacher at the end of each month.
All students are taught the rules for safety around a pool and learn that the water can be fun! On their first day, children are divided into groups (see below), based on their level of comfort in the water. During the first lesson, skills are practiced. Instructors and students decide which group is appropriate for them at that time. All lessons are 30 minutes with a 10-minute free play period following the class. We focus on ensuring your child has a safe and enjoyable experience, so he or she will enjoy the water for the rest of their life! Click HERE for a map to the pool location.
