Each summer, Child's Day presents a unique and exciting summer "Day Camp" program, designed exclusively for children who will be entering kindergarten or first grade after the summer.

This year, Summer Camp at Child's Day will run from June 3 through August 21. Registration for current Child's Day Puffins and Field Mice students begins February 6. All other families are able to register after February 13.

All children in the summer program have once-weekly tumbling classes and swimming lessons two times per week. The progressive swimming classes include a 20-minute lesson (following the Red Cross format at all levels of ability) and 20 minutes of recreational swimming and play. The children are accompanied by their Child's Day teachers with transportation in the center's vans. The 30-minute tumbling sessions take place on site.

In addition to swimming and gymnastics/sports, a host of special indoor and outdoor events are planned including field trips in and around Austin, parties, creative dramatics, computers, indoor/outdoor games, picnics, and exploration of nature. Our staff plan a wide variety of special activities which often include the Austin Nature Center, mini-golf, Inner Space Caverns, RadiJazz Playnasium, hay rides, Rivers and Reefs, bumper bowling, skating, Sunrise Exotic Ranch, pony riding, Texas History Museum and IMAX, movie day, Lone Star Riverboat, LCRA Park (fishing),Magic Show, Crowe's Nest Farm, Mad Science, Whole Foods Market, Zach Scott Children's Theatre, Gatti Town, Austin Zoo, Kiddie Acres, lunch-out days, Zilker Park Train Ride, and Doodlebug the Clown.
