| Born Musicians offers both vocal and keyboard musicianship classes at your child’s school. Born Musicians is a music training program that is rooted in the Kodaly method of music education, an internationally recognized technique with an emphasis on developing the total musician and instilling a love and joy of music-making. It also incorporates techniques from the latest research in the fields of the Musical Development of Children and Multiple Intelligences which enhances the children’s natural ability to achieve Basic Music Competence (singing in tune and marching to the beat) while at the same time helping to grow the whole brain. Born Musicians teachers have extensive training in these techniques and work well with children. Singing classes meet twice a week for 20-30 minutes each (based on age appropriateness). Classes are grouped according to age. Cost is $35 monthly which includes 6 classes per month.
This wonderful, joy-filled introduction to music for your child, will give him/her a solid foundation for a lifetime of music making. In addition to the musicianship vocal classes, (piano) keyboard classes are available for older preschoolers (4+). These half-hour lessons meet once a week in groups of up to four students. More than just an instrumental lesson, each keyboard class incorporates activities encouraging the development of major musical concepts including ear training, music reading, theory, music writing, rhythm, and of course, the group activities are a great way of making music lessons a positive time in your child's day. Cost is $50 monthly plus a $12 annual registration/book fee. |
